Account Executive

Summary

Working in Sales at Sky-Packets provides a compelling opportunity for Sales Professionals with a proven track record exceeding quota in technology sales. We are seeking proven, quota-carrying sales performers to help us grow our loyal customer base for medium-to-large markets. The person filling the job must be energetic, be knowledgeable about broadband networks, possess great interpersonal skills and proven sales ability. A plus would be to have knowledge of our products, competitors, and the industry. You will be responsible for following up on leads, telephone inquiries, and making cold calls to existing accounts and new accounts. In summary, we are looking for someone who is ready to jump into a fun, fast-paced environment. We need someone who is bright, energetic, has an interest in technology, and wants to learn.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities include generating new business in existing accounts and in new markets for the company. The chosen candidate will also be asked to prepare a plan to develop new accounts. Additional efforts include:

  • Prospecting and generating qualified leads through extensive cold calling
  • Co-ordination of all pre-sales resources via the telephone and Internet
  • Managing multiple accounts
  • Must be able to forecast revenues accurately. The forecast will be a rolling twelve- month forecast. It is expected that the current ninety-day forecast is at least ninety percent accurate. The remaining nine months are projects currently being worked on and updated.


Education and Work Experience
A college degree is required, successful solution selling experience is a must. Strong preference for a background in telecommunications, cable, software and/or other technologies.

  • Successful track record of meeting and exceeding quotas
  • Prior successful experience delivering technology solutions
  • A background in inbound and outbound prospecting and closing of new business
  • Experience working within a sales organization and being responsible for all aspects of the sales cycle
  • A Bachelors degree
